What we collect at checkout
Your name, email address, delivery address, billing address and order details. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments — we never see or store your full card details.
Why we collect it
To take and fulfil your order and to provide customer support (performance of a contract), to keep records required by tax law (legal obligation), and to measure which of our advertising leads to sales (legitimate interest — see katije.com/privacy for details and how to object). We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Shopify (store and payment platform), our delivery carrier, Klaviyo (order and marketing email), Meta (advertising measurement — when you complete a purchase we send Meta a record of the order with your contact details in a hashed, unreadable form, so we can measure which advertising works; cookie identifiers are included only where you have consented), and PostHog (our EU-hosted analytics — order value and items with a hashed email). Each processes it only to provide their service to us.
Marketing
Buying from us does not sign you up to marketing. We only send it where you have asked, and you can stop at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing support@katije.com.
How long we keep it
Order records for 7 years, as tax law requires. Marketing contacts until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a suppression record so we do not contact you again.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete or port your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Email support@katije.com — we respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
